Configure

  • usb-ids-path defaults to /usr/share/hwdata/usb.ids

Build

  • No need to build the external helper as mdevd supports hotplugging by design -O 4 (or -O 0x4)

  • Might have to add the following to /etc/mdev.conf:
SUBSYSTEM=drm;.*   root:video 660 *libudev-zero-helper
SUBSYSTEM=input;.* root:input 660 *libudev-zero-helper
